Gifts For Less wants every shopper to be able to use this website, whatever device or assistive technology they browse with. We are working towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. We are not fully there yet, and the section below sets out what we know is still short.

What are we doing to keep this site accessible?
We audit the site with automated tooling and by hand. The last pass ran axe-core against every page, plus a keyboard-only walkthrough of the navigation, the contact form and the photo galleries.
That pass produced real fixes rather than a badge. Every page now opens with a skip link that jumps straight past the navigation to the main content, and puts your keyboard where it lands. Page content sits inside proper landmark regions, headings run in order without skipping levels, and the store map embeds carry titles that say which of our three shops they point to. The social icons in the footer had no text at all for a screen reader, so each one now announces the store it belongs to. We raised the blue used for the store names in the footer, because at its old value it did not clear the 4.5:1 contrast minimum against the dark background. The contact form fields were the worst of it: the grey-on-teal hint text inside them was effectively unreadable, and the red error messages were worse, so both were rebuilt to clear the contrast minimum, and errors are now announced rather than only shown.
Which parts of the site might still give you trouble?
The clearest one is movement. The video behind the heading on our home page starts on its own and loops, and the shop photo and review carousels advance on their own too. None of them can be paused yet. If moving content is a problem for you, most browsers can stop it: turning on "reduce motion" in your operating system's accessibility settings will quiet the page animations, and your browser's reader mode will strip the video out entirely. We know this is not good enough and it is on our list.
Two other things on this site come from outside it. The store location maps are Google Maps embeds and the spam check on our contact form is Google reCAPTCHA. We do not control how either one behaves with assistive technology.
If a map gets in your way, the same address, phone number and hours sit in plain text right above it, and every store block links out to Google Maps directly. If the contact form gives you trouble, call the store instead. Our shops are open daily from 8am to 11pm and somebody will take your details over the phone.
The shop tour gallery is another spot worth naming. It opens photos in a lightbox, which you can close with the Escape key, and the images carry alt text describing what is on the shelf rather than a file name.

Do you need help in the store itself?
All three of our Orlando shops are ground level with step free entrances. If you need a hand reaching something, finding a size, or carrying purchases out, ask any member of staff. We are a small team and we would rather help than watch you struggle.
